About: The small mandarin tree produces shiny, persistent leaves, perfumed white flowers and orange citrus fruits. Native to China, the tree owes its name to the Chinese Mandarins: bureaucratic scholars who received this fruit as a traditional gift. A gentle oil, Mandarin is a good option for using around children and the elderly. Because Mandarin contains Methyle N-methylanthranilate and is potentially phototoxic, it is important to dilute before applying topically and to avoid exposing treated skin to the sun for 24 hours.

Safety Information:

Shelf Life: 1-3 years in proper conditions. Mandarin essential oil can be stored in the refrigerator for extended shelf life.
