Color: Dark amber/deep olive green

About: This essential oil, distilled from the roots of the Vetiver grass, has a deep, woody, smoky scent. Traditionally used for its calming and cooling properties, Vetiver is said to promote a grounded, centered state of mind.

Common Uses: A simple palm inhalation of Vetiver may help support a calm, confident mindset. This method may also be used to promote sleep and relaxation. Blended with a carrier oil, Vetiver is excellent for massaging sore muscles and joints after exercise or exertion. To promote clear, nourished skin, blend with a carrier oil and apply to areas of concern.

Vetiver’s aroma is potent – a single drop or less is recommended to begin with.


Blending Recommendations: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Black Spruce, Blue Tansy, Cardamom, Citronella, Clary Sage, Coriander, Citronella, Eucalyptus Citriodora, Fennel, Rose Geranium, Ginger, Grapefruit, Juniper Berry, Lavender, Lemongrass, Mandarin, May Chang, Sweet Orange, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Peppermint, Petitgrain, Sandalwood, Scotch Pine, Spikenard

Safety Information: 

  • We do not recommend diffusing Vetiver.
  • Do not use during pregnancy.
  • Topical dilution: 0% – may be used undiluted.

Shelf Life: 6-8 years in proper conditions

Storage: Store with the cap firmly closed, standing upright, out of direct heat and sunlight.

One bottle was fine. The second bottle was a low quality, maybe it was old, maybe they changed their species they use for processing. It was not quality. Not your fault, the fault of the supplier.
