About: Spearmint essential oil’s aroma is bright, minty and refreshing with a mouthwatering sweetness. A member of the mint family, the Spearmint herb and its small, aromatic leaves can be found worldwide. It is best known as a flavoring in gum, toothpastes, mouth washes and candies. Considered to be a gentle alternative to Peppermint, Spearmint can be used during pregnancy and with children.
Common Uses: Spearmint can be found in respiratory salves, foot creams and ointments for promoting joint and muscular health. Spearmint is often used for maintaining oral health and can be added to toothpaste, tooth powder and mouthwash.
